Horndon on the Hill Sunday Indoor X1 v Pegasus & Corringham on Sun 09 Mar 2008 at 10.00 am
Horndon on the Hill Won 4 wickets
A good win for the Sunday side against a strong Pegs team who were not aided by the fact that a couple of their star players were still lagging from the night before.
Horndon did well to restrict Pegs to under 100,with only Benno and the resilient Saggers putting up much of a fight. Andy Clark looked like he couldn't hit the back wall with the aid of a pair of binoculars, but he did manage to bowl reasonably well, even though a large bucket was on standby just in case.
Horndon never looked in much trouble getting the runs with Bip & Walshy retiring on 25,which left Willsy and Twixy to finish things off with 4 balls to spare.
Down to the last game this Sunday then, with a win and 5 wickets or more being enough to take the title in the game against Grays, who will not be the same side without Ross Poulton who plays Sunday games for Stanford.
Good luck fellas ...
